It’s difficult for me to exercise
Here are a few tips:

- Plan your physical activity in advance, and make sure you know where the nearest toilet is.
-
Choose activities that are less likely to trigger incontinence, including:
- Swimming
- Pelvic floor exercises
- Light weightlifting
- Cycling
- Walking
- Stretching - If you decide to go swimming, remember that many pools put chemicals in the water that change colour if urine is detected.
-
Avoid sports that require strenuous physical effort, including:
- Heavy weightlifting
- Shot putting
- Wrestling
- Judo - Plan a programme with a qualified trainer.
- Don’t improvise! Plan your activities and see how they go. After a while, you will get to know your body and what can and can’t be done.
